What is Argentium Silver?

Argentium is made from: 94% silver, 1% germanium, 5% copper, as opposed to traditional Sterling Silver which is made from 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper.  Because of the lower copper content and the addition of germanium, Argentium Silver does not tarnish as easily and is brighter and whiter than platinum, white gold, and traditional Sterling.  Argentium Silver is low maintenance, easy to care for and has antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties. All of these benefits make Argentium Silver better for the wearer and gentler on the environment, as less chemicals are used in production.

Sizing your cuff bracelet

I want to make sure your cuff fits your wrist.To do that, we need to know your actual wrist measurement. So, get a cloth measuring tape to measure around your wrist, OVER your wrist bone. (Or you can use a piece of string or yarn to wrap gently around your wrist bone, then lay that on top of a ruler.) That is what I refer to as your “wrist circumference” in each descriptor.

 

Taking care of your new jewelry

Handmade jewelry is special and should be cared for, so that it lasts a long time.  Avoid contact with water, lotions, sunscreens and perfumes.  Please remove your pieces when washing, bathing, and swimming.

  

Argentium and Sterling Silver Jewelry Care

Keep Argentium Silver and Sterling silver in a dry place (zip top bag is perfect!) away from oxygen and moisture, to minimize tarnish.  Use a polishing cloth to brighten or remove tarnish.  Avoid commercial jewelry cleaning solutions, as they can be too harsh.  If pieces get dirty, clean with a very soft toothbrush, warm water and plain Dawn dish soap.

 

Patina Jewelry Care

Chemical patinas are delicate, so I have applied a clear sealer to preserve and protect the color.  Still, avoid wearing when swimming, bathing, washing, and during strenuous activities.  Use a sunshine or other polishing cloth to brighten or remove tarnish.

Sherri Lane Designs accepts major credit cards, Paypal, and cash. Checks can be accepted, but shipping will be delayed until after the check clears.

 

Sales Tax

All retail customers are subject to Texas sales tax.  

 

Shipping

Most orders ship within 5 business days.  Orders are shipped via USPS First class mail, which usually takes 3-5 business days to arrive within the US. Your order can be upgraded to Priority or Overnight for an additional charge.

International orders please contact me before ordering, so I can get an accurate quote.  Customer is responsible for any customs or duty fees.

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact me within 14 days of delivery, so we can discuss the best option to resolve the issue.   Customer is responsible for a safe and secure shipping of items returned in their original, unworn condition. Shipping fees are not refundable.
