Sherri’s love of travel and adventure stems from her childhood. Weekends were spent camping and boating on the Texas Hill Country lakes and rivers with extended family and friends. Traditional, weeklong family vacations brought more adventures, crisscrossing the US to explore mountains and coastlines.

That love of travel and exploration was shared when raising her own family, sailing monohulls in foreign waters, exploring churches and art museums, and experiencing local life in other countries.

She started making jewelry years ago, but found her passion when she took a metalsmithing class at the local university. She has developed her metal fabrication skills and techniques by working with teachers and mentors of different styles, which always bring a new perspective to design.
Her inspirations come from life, travel, and experiences. Observing the colors of the different oceans, inspecting the shape of an abandoned shack, or studying the movement of the trees in the wind spark her creative vision. Her organic, freeform jewelry designs combine metals, shapes, and textures into wearable works of art. Her aim as a jewelry designer is to make statement pieces that are versatile for travel.
Sherri works in her Texas studio, fabricating jewelry, vessels, and small sculptures.
